In the unlikely event that these industry leaders should declare bankruptcy, the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF) provides insurance up to CDN $1 million for any combination of cash and securities.
Investment dealer bankruptcy doesn’t happen very often. That’s because each of our Sponsors, the Securities Commissions, and CIPF require that our Members comply with regulatory procedures. But if bankruptcy does occur, CIPF is here to protect you. For more information please click here.
