Anton was born and raised in South Africa where he attended one of the country’s top private schools, St Stithians. Anton combined his academic education with sport, where his superior performance on various teams earned him the prestigious ‘sportsman of the year’ honour.
After graduation, he was drafted into the South African Navy where he successfully completed the grueling officer’s course and served as a divisional officer.
Anton’s business career began in marketing and sales for a large national clothing retailer before joining an international advertising agency. Over the years while working with clients such as Colgate Palmolive, Revlon, South African Breweries and General Tire, he was promoted through the ranks to a Board Director.
In search of greater opportunities, Anton immigrated to Canada in 1994 with his young family and soon thereafter joined CIBC Wood Gundy as an Investment Advisor. At CIBC Anton was awarded the prestigious President’s Council Award for excellent performance. He continued his education, completing the Canadian insurance courses (I & II), derivatives & options license, options supervisor, Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and branch manager/compliance exams.
Anton then moved to Merrill Lynch in search of broadening his knowledge and learning from a global leader. It was during this time that he also qualified and was awarded the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute designation, FCSI, the most senior designation in Canada's financial services sector. Anton’s pursuit of management responsibility led him to CIBC Imperial Service where he was rewarded for superior performance and granted the Achievers Award. He also attained his Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP) designation. (read more)
Anton’s belief that there had to be a better client focused solution led him to TriDelta Financial Partners. As VP, Business Development, Anton will continue to work directly with clients, while building and coaching a team of like-minded financial planning professionals.
More recently Anton studied senior issues by learning about the physical, social, psychological, financial and estate planning aspects of aging by completing the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) course.
